2015 Panini Rookies & Stars Football Blaster Break

Here we go with a 2015 Rookies & Stars Blaster Box Break. There are 10 packs, 7 cards per pack, for a total of 70 cards. There is also a Rookies & Stars Patch card in each box.

A look at the base cards

The Rookies

Pretty nice. A total of 33.5 rookies. The 0.5 is for this.

My guaranteed patch card. Mario Williams and Karlos Williams of the Bills. Karlos Williams is a rookie, so hence the 0.5. Love this card though. I would have been happy if this was the whole blaster, but there was more.

Here we have a Ameer Abdullah Progession rookie insert numbered to 299.

Also a Devin Smith rookie numbered to 25!

Top it off with a Carson Palmer Crusade insert.

We end it with our die cut inserts. The notable one being a JJ Watt numbered to 99.

What a great blaster. There's lots of quality and bang for your buck here. Almost makes me want to try some hobby boxes. Go out and try one of these for yourself, it won't disappoint.

2015 Topps Football Rack Box Break

I decided to try out the 2015 Topps Football Rack Box. It contains 72 cards, 13 of which are rookies. Let's see how we did.

I was expecting to find some packs but it's one whole pack of cards.

Here is a glimpse of the base card designs. I like the look, will look even better in chrome.

The rookies I pulled

Not bad

And here come the inserts.

Is it weird this was my favorite part of the break? I really enjoyed these insert designs. I like the "All-Time Fantasy Legends" insert and the Topps red border Jamal Charles was nice as well. The redesign of 1000/4000 Yard Club inserts is a lot nicer. The old school inserts are always great. The only drawback of these is fantasy focus. It doesn't seem to have changed very much from last year.

Overall, this was a good break, I like he entire set from top to bottom, but it seems I always do with the annual release of Topps. I would recommend these rack boxes. A lot of good value for $9.99.

2014 Sage Hit Football Blaster Box Break

Here we go with a 2014 Sage Hit Footballl Blaster. Each box contains 20 packs with 4 cards per pack. Also included are 2 autographed cards. Honestly, I'm not a fan of the Sage series (who is?) , but it was on sale for $12.99 and was the 2014 year of upcoming NFL Rookies, so I decided to give it a shot.

They had me for a second. I know the bottom pack is where the autographs are. Take a look, Derek Carr and Jimmy Garoppolo. Except this card is not the auto. Thanks Sage.

I open the pack and find these autos.
As expected, no big names here.

This is a nice card, but you can see the slight damage in the bottom left center.

Here are the variations available with this set.

The spotlight insert being the most notable ones.

I was able to pull 8 of these.

Overall, it was what I expected. Low quality Pre-NFL. There's not a lot of excitement to the Hit Series. In fact, there is none at all. The only reason I would produce any joy from this is by pulling a major player auto. However, do remember these are cheap sets. Even if I were to pull an Odell Beckham Jr auto, it only averages out to about $30-$35 selling price on eBay.

I would recommend these discounted blasters to perhaps a child beginning a collection. You can only go up from here.

Target 10 Pack Football box

I made my way to Target today and found this 10 pack box for $11.99. As stated it comes with 10 football packs that vary in year and sets. There is also a 20 pack for $19.99, but I pm wanted to give this one a shot first. I'm not expecting anything much from this but I just had to find out for myself.

Here are the packs.

We received the following

2014 Topps: 3 Packs

2013 Panini Prizm: 1 Pack

2014 Topps Platinum: 2 Packs

2014 Panini Prestige: 1 Value Pack

2013 Topps Prime: 1 Pack

2012 Score: 2 Packs

I do like the fact that 6 of the packs are from 2014. Strong rookie class.

Since this is a value box of various sets, I won't mention the base cards. Let's get to the reason why I purchased this: See what rookies we can pull.

And here they are

24 rookies pulled from all packs. A good about to make me satisfied. A few big names. Not bad for $11.99.

We'll finish off with our pulls of inserts.

Besides the inserts included with the rookie pulls, they were an additional 6 more. The most notable was the 2014 Ryan Tannehill numbered to 2014. Again, not bad.

Overall I did enjoy this break. Pulled a lot more rookies than I was expecting, some of which with good insert variations.

This isn't for everyone though, if your expecting to perhaps get a nice pull I would stay away and stick with regular retail. But if you buy this just expecting to find small pulls like myself, it will do the job.

Stay tuned, I think I will try out the 20 pack version pretty soon.

2015 Panini Prestige Football Blaster Box Break

I picked up a 2015 Panini Prestige Football Blaster, my first purchase of this football season. It contains 64 cards,8 packs with 8 cards per pack. It also comes with one Jumbo Draft Picks Card in each box, on average. Let's take a look at the product.

Here are some of the base cards in this set. The looks and feels seems average. They don't feel too cheap but don't blow you away either.

A Look at the rookie cards.

Here is the Jumbo Draft Picks Card. I received Jaelen Strong, WR for the Texans.

Personally, I'm not a fan of unusual or oversized cards but I'll make an exception for this one. It comes enclosed in its own plastic packaging.

Here are the inserts.

Pretty nice. A Prestigious Picks RC of Leonard Williams, DE for the Jets. A nice Marcus Mariota Blue Chip Recruits RC.

And now our big hit.

A Beautiful Teddy Bridgewater Past and Present Dual jersey patch numbered 09/49. I was pretty surprised to have pulled it. It's a very nice patch card. I know these pulls are rare in blasters, I just happened to be the lucky one today.

Overall, I really enjoyed and was impressed with this blaster. I feel the quality of the product was there. The look of the base cards and rookies is average, but I guess they had to save the good designs for they're inserts. I would definitely give this product another try and recommended trying it out.

Thanks for visiting my blog.
